We hope that everyone will choose to visit and revisit OISHII THAI.”
OISHII THAI’s beautiful surroundings showcase a collection of seven rich, colorful paintings by Chicago artist Anawat Sampanthavivat, depicting the story of “The Reincarnation of Buddha”; antique Chinese furniture; as well as granite tables, and originally-designed wall upholstery, booths and chairs (featured in ostrich skin in celery green and chocolate brown color tones) by Chef Owner Sinee Techa, who is also the seven-time award-winning designer (honored by “Window Fashions Magazine”) of Lily’s Window Fashions, located at 106 East Dundee Road in Wheeling, Illinois (847-808-8288)
OISHII THAI’S LOGO
Chef Owner Sinee Techa personally conceived the logo design for OISHII THAI, with the ”O” circling the “S” within. She then asked artist Anawat Sampanthavivat to incorporate a swan design, because of its gracefulness and elegance, a theme she wanted her restaurant to convey. Sinee wanted the wings to show the intricate detail of typical Thai art. For the logo, she picked the color orange to match the chairs she planned to use.
OISHII THAI’S FURNISHINGS
The chairs at OISHII THAI are covered in ostrich skin, in the color chocolate brown. Chef Owner and designer Sinee wanted the restaurant’s tall booths (covered in upholstery in ostrich skin in the color celery green) to be distinguishable. She wanted diners at OISHII THAI to experience a different type of dining setting – and so the chairs are not back to back.
